Signed another contract last night - $132k with talks already in progress to add to the scope of the work by another 75k.

Sharing a win from the Evo Fab team
When I first started working with Coach Jamie and Ayman, Evolution Fabrication was heading in the wrong direction. We were losing, on average, around $20k per month and constantly putting out fires.
Fast forward to today, and the business has done a complete 180.
Since February this year we've been focusing on the fundamentals and the results have shown - coming out of a hole and into profit, understanding our numbers, managing cash flow, improving work flow, developing leadership and building the RIGHT team, growing from a team of just two people (including myself) to a team of six!

LikeSharing a win as it's the end of the tax year! We set ourselves a target to convert $5M of quotes to jobs this year... it was a bit of a joke when we wrote it on the board. But we smashed it!
Just wanted to share my wins as of late. Been working with Pete and it's crazy to see where my head space is now vs January of this year. I have to contribute a lot to him, his persistence and accountability. Coming from a place of wanting to leave the program, to trying to be intentional about taking from and giving back to the PT community.
Doing only 9k of revenue in January '26 to now having four consecutive months over 100k in revenue, July will be the same. Just submitted over 2.6 million in bids yesterday for potential upcoming work. Been solidifying my terms of service, payment terms, contractual agreements to maintain cash flow, which has been my biggest hurdle. We've almost matched the revenue we did in all of '25 as of the end of June '26. Brought on an Admin / Operations Manager early this year and she's built a lot of systems and processes to help us grow strategically, handling most of our back end systems. We're poised to hit close to 2 million this year and our team is growing every day. Starting the year with 2 guys in the field and myself in the office, we now have 6 field workers and 2 in the office including myself. Was interviewed for the UA journal earlier in the month for an article regarding new UA member created businesses. And the addition of my daughter back in May. Its been a wild year so far, lots of ups and downs, but I dont think I'd want it any other way!
I'm grateful for the community and the others putting in the work every day to get to where we want to be.

Just past 1 million in revenue today. I know there is driving for show and putting for dough, and we are working on the putting every day. But I'm excited because we are on pace for 2 million and last year we were 1.5 mil. God is good.

LikeReflecting on a huge win and a huge 12 months since joining PT! We had a record month last month of $391k off the back of a $320k July.
12 months ago I was searching for another podcast to listen to, my way of getting through the hot days of standing on 30deg Roofs for 8hrs, ankles burning, sweat stinging my eyes and absolutely stuffed afterwork... Then a mate told me about the Profitable Tradie Podcast – I said, “That guy from the Facebook ads?!” I started listening and couldn’t stop. I had my notes app open non-stop, writing everything down.
At the time (June) it was Myself, a 5th yr apprentice and a 2nd yr, we were a crew of 3 and smashing through the work and I would do quotes and invoicing on smoko.
In July, powered by the inspiration from the podcast, I got off the tools, stepped back and let my 5th yr take the lead (more than capable), shortly after that I took a massively scary leap of faith and hired a mate who was unhappy at another company and took on another apprentice, all of a sudden, I was a business with two crews, and I was completely off the tools.
Soon after, I joined the PT program, I remember prepping for my onboarding and thinking, “What’s my 3-year goal?” I said:
That would be the dream...
First thing I did was smash the marketing, I realized nobody can even find me on google so I got verified, I started google ads, called DuoPlus (from the podcast) to do SEO and put some more signage up. Work started pouring in!
Work was pumping, we were running the business out of my home office I built on the end of our garage, but we live very rural so logistic it was getting very hard, so we took another massive leap of faith, we purchased a residential property right in town with a massive section and I fenced off a yard and built an office.
Now we had the yard it was a no brainer to hire an office manager, we trusted the process and hired an absolute gun, we also found another Lead-Roofer and apprentice, and all of a sudden, in only about 6mnths, we had smashed our 3yr goal and was living the dream... right?
Well... not quite, we were struggling financially more than ever, the money and labour investment into the yard had drained us, we were paying wages using deposits for future jobs, really robbing Pete to pay Paul, we were in a big hole! Nearly 100k and I was broken. I was thinking those reservations of growth that were plaguing my thoughts throughout those 6months were warranted and I had gone too hard, too fast, I was ready to give up.
We were also battling with poor workmanship, call backs, poor culture and some bad employees.
I talked to my coach Luke and he basically said carry on, trust the process, this is where businesses fail, when it’s hard they pull back, he reminded me of all the investment we have put in and the business we have grown will easily pull you out of the hole and bugger me he was right! In 3 months, we were out of the hole and charging forward!

I met with a client last week that wanted to do a master bathroom remodel and additional cabinetry work throughout the house.
It was a high end home, so I wanted my finishes to match what they currently have in the house.
As I worked out my numbers. The master bath was coming in at 200k and the additional cabinetry at 110k.
In my mind, I'm thinking this is crazy. They are never accept.
I presented the contract and numbers today. And walked out the door with a signed contract and deposit.
I've learned today just stick with the process. The right jobs will eventually come. And they're coming.
